*You might think this is long, lousy and lame [SHUT UP] the next time you see this but it is true. I wrote with my heart and I want to remember this. :B
*Curtain Opens*
Five months? Really?
I guess it’s true.
Before the audition, I assumed that I couldn’t get through the audition and I intended to pull out, because of me being indecisive, I simply chose a song “Somewhere over the rainbow” with a last minute practice and decided to go for it. Auditioning with Imran Big , Imran Small, Hui Wen, Nicole Chan, and Wern Qing filled me with pressure, I could hear the beat of my heart as if it was telling me that I wouldn’t pass somehow. Now, I guess I was wrong.
Every weekends, my dad would ask the same question, “Girl ah, where you going?” and I would say “YCA. Um, you know the Thai Corner there? Neh, near DiGi want ah.” My mom will always tell me “Ah Pin, you need to catch up with your homework you know, don’t forget your Maths Tuition at 3 ya.” Yes I always seem to forget about my tuition. Ironically, since we stop going to YCA, I forgot about my maths tuition.
Sometimes when things seems to fall apart, the questions my mom asked always put my determination at the edge, she asked me whether I want to quit or not since I couldn’t juggle my studies moreover just playing a small part, quitting it will be like a strand of hair dropping from the head. But out of the millions, that strand of hair is formed by trillions of molecules, formed by time that wouldn’t turn back, formed by effort building it into a strand. So during that past if I look a bit down or whatever, this was the reason.
Because of the passion overflowing my conscience, I decided to take the risk and continued pursuing what I love, with the deal of getting results that would make my family and me proud. With the same routine going back and forth every weekend I finally got a cast and her name is “Graziella”. She is terribly young, sexy, lost in the world of jive. (Is that what’s Aaron’s thinking when he casted me?) Although it was a minor role, I love it, I somehow feel like she is me and I am her. (Although she doesn’t read storybooks and talk like Ke$ha, maybe I just have something more that she doesn’t. Hahaha.)
After months of MCDs, KFCs, walking pass the Jet cool sign, and practice, we finally have the chance to rehears on stage, the school hall’s stage, our stage. We shared our tears, our problems, Aaron’s “It all started at the zoo when I met this pretty girl whom is my friend’s friend”, the Milo ice that caused my milophobia for awhile.
Imran Big dives into the world with PSP FIFA OR WHATEVER GAMES including
Nafis, the big guy, singing "Puerto Rico, I love you island" remix of America
Zen Yang- Angry Bird Freak, but a pianist that doesn't freak
And
Ryan Yap, the-I-couldn't-leave-choir guy. HAHA
Shane, Anita, which has a potential to shine. With
Dini, a sporting lady.
Jane, my identical twin.
Gaya, talks a lot and very drama in her very funny way.
Elena, beautiful in her very own way and
Nicole, a senior that treats me like her lil’ sister and does the fake eyelashes like pro.
All of them danced full of feeling, especially America, sexiness moving in their adrenalines.
We also have the Jet Boys,
William with his I’m-hot-and-I-know-you-want-me look 24/7, a gentleman in his very own way.
Baby John (I mean Ian, LOL) and Imran small, so gay-gay people that mimicked all my lines imitating my voice in their sexy gay way.
Faris, has green braces and looked like Incredible Hulk at times O:
Harith, always asking me to sing “Bla, bla, bla” with my voice. Okay, my voice, which is the so called the horny voice.
Zuhrie, that uses his leading potential to get us serious again. Never can forget the one-second explode ACTION.
Shakir, the guy who has the most awesome handwriting ever, and has a flaw in fashion.
Soon Yee, my tuition mate that looks like Doraemon, but on stage, whoa, he’s a man.
Hock Im, the Choir President have himself asking the Boys to give him back his Basketball Shoe that got pulled out only from one leg.
Aiza Jasmin that shared a lot of things with me.
Yovisha gave me the determination to get back on my feet into this indirectly.
Nashweeta, who straightened my hair and dolled me like a pro.
Chui Yen, telling me how much she loves me every time I doll her up.
Marhaini, the awesome lady that loves food and has been to a lot of places and also shared a lot of things with me, especially food.
Elaine, who is really like my long lost sister, got bu** but no *****, you know you know. ;)
Vanessa, a pretty girl that discovered the “unique shuffling” with me. (Everyday I'm shuffling.)
Shafiq, the friendly one, by the way, he looks like a Teddy Bear somehow.
Zi Ming, a caring and sensitive person, playing Chino with his Malaysian-Puerto Rican accent. With the teachers, Mr. Charles, Datuk Harun, Mr.Gan and En. Ardi that made this musical full of humor.
Then we have the angel like people,
Vi Jia, that pulled everything together, helping everyone of us managing our schedule with the help from
Pn Khas, a teacher that teaches more than just education,
Mrs. Yap, my another mother.
Won’t forget Regina, who taught us the dance moves in a very professional way.
Susanna, the lady that brought to a higher standard throughout the years, and still doing it.
Lastly,
Aaron. Whom I thought was very cute (the size) and easy to bully in my first impression. Oh God, I was dead wrong, talented as he is, hardworking and proudly made this indescribable production, did I mention this is his first production? Oh yes, never ever try to get a piece of him.
I also learned how to cycle during the rehearsals break. :P Thanks to Nafis, Yovisha, Shane, Hazim, Yen Min, Jia Foo, Shafiq and lots more.
THE USHERS ROCK THEIR SOCKS LIKE WE SO SAKAI PEOPLE. Cheryl, Yat Sisters- Yat Kuan and Yat Mun, Michelle, Andrea, Naomi, Priyanka, Sumeeta, Trixie and Mei Ling.
Pik Yen, the Pikachu-like photographer :P Not to mention her great photographing skills.
Nicole Yap, all the parents including Aaron's, supported us like how Prince Caspian supports his Narnians.
Those that I've forgot to mention, I'm very sorry and I don't intend to do so but whoever you are, you are as awesome as me :) Ha-ha chey.
The effort that you guys gave motivated all of us to do a better job, and bring us to a higher standard in every single way.
I know it's a long message so I cut it short and posted the original in my blog.
"As the curtain closes, the memories are kept."
